Peugeot Citroën ordered to provide details of its alleged cheat devices by High Court

Congratulations to Leigh Day and Adam Kramer KC for securing an important ruling in the High Court forcing Peugeot Citroën to hand over more information about alleged defeat devices in certain diesel engines.

Balance Legal Capital is funding the group action for diesel drivers who were sold Peugeot Citroën cars that allegedly used defeat devices to cheat the EU emissions tests, only to pollute harmful gases above legal limits when driven in the real world.

Our Managing Partner, Robert Rothkopf, said: “We are pleased that Peugeot Citroën must now hand over important details about how their technology controls emissions in relevant engines.  This is good news for the thousands of car owners in the group seeking redress and allows this case to progress towards a resolution that holds manufacturers accountable.”
