Lindsay Woods joins panel at UK Environmental Law Association Conference 2026

Lindsay joined a fantastic panel at the UKELA - UK Environmental Law Association Conference 2026 in June. The panel explored the rise of group litigation as a mechanism for seeking remedies for environmental harm in the UK and internationally.

The discussion covered recent environmental claims - including litigation relating to the River Wye, claims against Shell plc arising from pollution in Nigeria, and climate-related claims in the Philippines - as well as how these cases can attract litigation funding, and the role of the English courts in cross-border environmental disputes.

Lindsay was joined on the panel by Simon Bishop (Hausfeld), Steph David (39 Essex Chambers), Mitesh Modha (HKA Global Ltd) and Celine O'Donovan (Leigh Day).
